We’re Rooted Here, And You Can’t Pull Us Up - Caleb Lionheart
Not only is this song one of my favorites of 2012, I’m very happy to say it’s gonna be on the next Shoreline Records acoustic compilation.
this is the death of romance that our parents warned us about when we were kids.
This is one of my favorite songs on our side of the After The Fall split 7”. I wrote it while we were in an area of the country whose radio stations play only County, Western, and Country-Western. A gentleman was condemning “sodomites” for tarnishing the image of the United States, making it into “the Whore of Babylon.” Empathy was my response.
“I lit a candle in church just to watch it burn. Light up the room! Empathy is more than faith in words or prayers whispered to statues.”
I am now referring to my music as “And More” since I didn’t make it onto the flyer.
I think I might need the night off!

If I fall down, then count the rings. Make something beautiful out of me.
This is my new favorite song!
